1. Who we are
CoThread is made by LexLedger, Inc. (“LexLedger,” “we,” “us”), a Delaware corporation.
2. What this policy covers
This policy covers cothread.app (the “site”) and the CoThread early-access list. It does not cover the CoThread app itself. Before the app records anything, it tells you exactly what it keeps, who can see it and for how long, and asks for your consent.
3. Information we collect
Information you give us
When you join the early-access list or email us, we collect what you choose to provide. That's usually your email address, and optionally your first name and the state you live in.
Please don't send us details about your case, your children or your co-parent. We don't need them, and if we receive them through the site or the list, we'll delete them.
Information collected automatically
Our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time of the request. This is used to deliver and secure the site.
The site itself doesn't use cookies, analytics tools, advertising pixels or other trackers. If we add a Microsoft Forms sign-up to the site, it may use cookies that the form needs to work. Those are governed by Microsoft's privacy statement.
4. How we use it
- To tell you when CoThread is available, and to send you information about CoThread you've asked for
- To reply when you contact us
- To operate, maintain and secure the site
- To comply with the law and protect our rights
5. What we don't do
- We don't sell your personal information.
- We don't share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- We don't use your information to train AI models.
- We don't tell anyone, including your co-parent, that you joined the list.
6. Who we share it with
- Service providers that run the site and our business systems on our behalf, under contracts that limit how they can use it. This includes Microsoft (Azure hosting, and Microsoft 365 services such as Forms and Outlook).
- Legal and safety: when required by law, legal process or a court order, or when needed to protect the rights, property or safety of LexLedger or others.
- Business transfers: as part of a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of assets, subject to this policy's protections.
7. How long we keep it
We keep your early-access information until CoThread launches and we've let you know, or until you ask us to remove it, whichever comes first. Hosting logs are kept for a limited period for security and operations.
8. Your choices and rights
You can ask us to remove you from the list at any time, and every email we send includes a way to stop further emails. You can also ask us what information we hold about you, and to correct or delete it. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws. We'll honor these requests as required by law, and we won't discriminate against you for making them.
To make a request, email privacy@lexledgersystems.com. We may need to verify your identity first.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect the information we collect. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
10. Children
CoThread is for parents. The site isn't directed to children, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll post the updated version here and update the “Last updated” date above. If a change is significant, we'll take reasonable steps to let you know.
